Ouija Board the paranormal ghost game

5 Paranormal games to play if you seek the thrill

Featured Paranormal

Games in general are meant to have fun but what if they turn cruel. What if they turn into a summoning of the spooky spirits and leave you back haunted and terrified. The curious quests by people in terms of spirits or ghosts lead them to these methodologies of spirit summoning. Although I do not encourage or recommend to practice any of those paranormal games because it might result into a terror call and one would be left with not so pleasant consequences of inviting an unwanted entity. Somehow not all of them have always worked in every case but nobody wants an Ouija ghost to petrify them around.

Here is a compiled list of ghastly games if one wants to get them into a whole conjuring scenario. Let’s line up in a series of horror and encounter some creepy ways of waking up the dead. Gear up to enter the spoof of ghosts and ghouls.

Bloody Mary

bloody-mary-scary games to play

One of the most sensational games around the YouTube generation this game holds the significance of a folklore legend of a ghost. Bloody Mary who is thought to appear in the mirror with a repetition in the chanting of her name has all sorts of apparitions linked to it.  It is an old ritual dating back to an evil witch named Mary Worth.

A practitioner of black magic in the medieval times when witchcraft was illegal Mary’s husband and daughter discovered her acts and murdered her. The game is all about summoning her spirit with the help of a mirror. People in certain cases have complained about the disastrous and horrid after-effects of the ugly encounter. Some cases also report death and disappearing of the individuals.

The procedure of it consists of a suitable mirror along with a source of running water (bathrooms are a convenient option). Further is the requirement of a candle as it help the spirits manifest their energy and link to the living. Turning out the lights and lighting up a candle gives a whole mysterious turn to the game and the general trivia of ghosts not coming out in the light is maintained. Next is the water which needs to be left running throughout the ritual since it was the last sound she had heard before dying. Spin around three times, stare into the mirror (do not break the eye contact with yourself) and summon her by calling her name three times as bloody marry….bloody marry….bloody marry and wait until you see an ugly, haggard old lady covered in blood. Concentration is an important perspective of the game which one is supposed to maintain while summoning.

The Midnight Game

Candle for playing horror midnight game

One of the uncanny paranormal games this has to be started before midnight. It is merely a game is what one thinks of but it isn’t just a game after it has begun. It is believed that the game was a punishment for those who demystified the laws of gods and is much likely an ancient Pagan ritual.

To those who seek thrill must start with a piece of paper with their full name and possibly gather the guts of dropping a little bit of their blood onto the paper (dramatic indeed). Allow the paper to properly soak the blood and proceed by calling out the dark (switch off the lights). Proceed by placing the paper with a lot candle on top of it in front of a wooden door (preferably closed).

Knock on the door 22 times calculating the final knock exactly when the clock strikes 12. Open the door now and blow out the light to invite the midnight man inside. It further requires the person to keep moving around the house until 3:33 am to keep away from the midnight man’s catch with a lit candle. If the flame goes off and one doesn’t light it up in 10 seconds there is a possibility of them being caught. It is believed that in a case like that one should enclose themselves in a circle of salt and shouldn’t attempt to come out before 3:33 am (finishing time of the game). Turn the lights on once the game is over.

The hooded man

This game isn’t for the faint hearted for it creates a link to a world that is different from ours. People who have claimed to try it submit a few consequences which real as life and scary to death. It is entirely one’s own risk to enter the ritual. A cleansing ritual is a must both at the start and the end of the game. The procedures are somehow a little bit weird and people might not really believe into it but there are a number of experiences in books and internet where people have shared about their trials and the not so fair consequences of it.

Begin the game at night by shutting down all the doors and windows. Pull up the curtains and turn off the lights along with switching off the electronic devices. One must carry only a watch during the ritual and anything that holds certain power should be kept away during the game. Count till 13, sit near the telephone and dial 20496888. Tie a black cord to the handset and repeat the dial but this time with a different number i.e. 25515823. Repeat counting till 13 and say “Hello? I need a cab” into the receiver. Replace the previous black cord with a second one and burn the initial cord. Outside the window one will find a cab parked. Get into the back seat of it, lock the cab door and go to sleep. A little while later wake up and check the time in your watch. If it strikes 3:30 am go back to sleep and if it shows time other than 3:30 am exit the cab immediately reenter your house and lead to the end of the ritual.

Waking up the second time one will find the cab being driven at a highway (another world) with a paranormal man with a hood. One must not freak out and try getting out of the cab. Whisper in the man’s ear that you’ve reached your destination and fall asleep one last time. When you wake up this time it’ll be your home you’ll find yourself at. Once returned back dial 200082 and say “thank you for the ride” into the receiver. Untie the black cord from the telephone and burn it like the previous one. Do not forget to bury the ashes of the cords in the ground. Once done sprinkle some salt at the burial site and follow up with the cleansing ritual. The game process might seem absurd to many but the real life experiences of people are all over the internet.

One-man hide and seek

Japanese horror bulletin in the year 2007 published the methods of this ritual and it spread like a forest fire among youngsters and people all over the internet got into this idiosyncratic ritual. One should play the game at their own risk.

The requirements include a pair of nail clippers, a sack of uncooked rice, a stuffed doll with proper limbs, a cup of salt water, television, red thread of a certain length, a needle, a sharp edged knife or a pair of scissors, incense, a bathtub and as the name says a hiding place.

Begin the ritual using a sharp knife or scissor to cut open the doll and remove its stuffing. Fill the doll with the uncooked rice, clip one of your fingernails and place it into the doll along with the rice. Further stitch the doll with the red thread and without cutting the left out wrap the remaining thread around the doll. Fill up the bathtub with water and purify the room with incense in which the ritual is being performed. Place a television in the room. Now place a cup of salt water in the hiding room and give some name to the doll. At 3:00 am precise, repeat “(your name) is the first it” to the doll. Submerge the doll in the bathtub and leave it there for a while. Turn off the lights, go to the hiding place and switch on the television. Close your eyes, count till ten and once done take the scissor or knife and go near the bathtub. Take out the doll and repeat “I have found you (doll’s name)”. Cut off the red thread from the doll and repeat “you are the next it, (doll’s name)” and put the doll back in the bathtub. Return to the hiding place and remain silent. Fill your mouth with salt water and hold it, do not swallow. Hold the remaining water in the cup. Start looking for the doll for it might not be in the place you left it. When found pour the remaining water on it and the water in your mouth as well. Repeat “I win” to the doll. Once the ritual is done allow the doll to dry, burn it and get rid of the burnt remains.

It is somehow believed that the rice represents the internal organ of the doll and works to lure the spirits towards it. Red thread on the other hand represents blood vessels and cutting it off releases the spiritual entity invited. Once started the games must be finished and should not go longer than three hours.

Charlotte’s web

Charlotte a seven year old girl is where the game gets its name from. Her mother was accused of practicing illegal witchcraft and was burnt to death after which it was believed that Charlotte escaped towards the woods where the means of survival were nil but she perished. Although the background seems to be a fiction and the genre does somehow questions the reality of the ritual. Although it does somewhere gives the game a plot to perform it.

Start the game by getting into a room (two people need to participate). Place two chairs in it each with a distance of two feet facing the same direction. Place a mirror in front of the chairs in such a way that you one can see their reflection while being seated (do not sit yet). Now place a table behind the chairs in a way that the reflection of it can be seen in the mirror when one is seated.

Place a toy on the table in the similar way for its reflection to be seen. Turn on flashlights and turn off the other lights in the room. Sit in the chairs now and look at the mirror. Repeat together “we want to play Charlotte’s web” and keep looking at the mirror (do not take your eyes away from it at all). Keep looking at the toy in the mirror if it is still there which apparently means she hasn’t taken the toy yet and is not very pleased. Don’t turn around and just keep looking at the toy. If she does take it somehow means she is pleased and wants attention and she might also like to talk. One might ask questions in turns but without turning around and focused towards the mirror. It is now time to put an end to the game by saying “goodbye Charlotte” together. Do not turn around until you see that the toy is gone (she wanders off from the reflection in the mirror). Turn the lights on.

One must keep in mind to not use any sort of flame and only flashlights because her mother was burnt and it might scare her or make her angry.  Looking in the mirror continuously is an important element and not looking to the other participant. Any mistake as such might trigger her temper and the consequences won’t be very pleasant.
